The Isle of Man is a self-governing British Crown Dependency in the Irish Sea between Great Britain and Ireland that has been inhabited for over eight and a half thousand years. The Island is home to the world’s oldest continuous Parliament – in existence for over a thousand years and one of the world’s first national legislative body’s to give women the right to vote in a general election.

Participants will stay in a seafront hotel in the Island’s capital Douglas during the first week with the programme taking place in the Nunnery, an estate outside Douglas named after a religious foundation,.

Two evening receptions take place during the week where participants will meet prominent people in the Isle of Man Government and business community and a tour of the Island is laid on at the end of the week before participants leave for Oxford.
